Managing daily Human Resources operations for fast growing Los Angeles based coffee roaster.

Building a suite of human resources services for small-to-medium-sized retail coffee businesses. Services include handbook and policy creation, workplace trainings, conflict resolution, hiring/onboarding/off-boarding, general human resources consulting, and fractional human resources management.

As co-founder, helped to test formula pre-launch and develop branding prioritizing innovation for use in cafes and accessibility and inclusion for distribution. As Chief Experience Officer, I managed and crafted the experience of distributors, retail partners, customers, and employees through sales and human resources.

I provide practical and emotional support to the employees, volunteers, and attendees associated with a non-profit organization that provides training for coffee competitions to members of underrepresented and marginalized communities. Among many responsibilities within the organization, I edit all website and social media content, write content for website and trade publications, set up and break down training and community events, assist competitors in preparation for and at competitions, and help participants navigate their professional and personal investment in competition and the industry at large. For Glitter Cat’s digital competition, I write emcee scripts, edit videos, and design the Instagram grid that keeps competitions organized for ease of viewing.

Handled management and logistics for the premier specialty coffee catering service in NYC, which provides mobile espresso services for over 600 events per year. In my time in this role I: -hired personable and highly skilled baristas through my own professional network to provide top quality hospitality to clients in multiple industries -created systems that have allowed the service to operate at high capacity with a peak of eleven simultaneous events in one day -coordinated with vendors for products and services related to daily operations -coordinated with third party couriers to deliver equipment and goods to multiple (often tricky!) locations with varied insurance and loading requirements in New York City and surrounding areas -worked alongside founder and Vice President of Events to plan and execute a variety of events with different aesthetic and service requirements -extended support on behalf of the company to events and organizations in the greater national and world coffee community
