Here I worked in a sales driven, team orientated environment to meet sales targets. I provided high levels of customer care to ensure repeat business. I also let my technical skills flourish here. Every day I would fix peoples phones, e.g. freezing screens, not powering up, not charging, not dialling out etc. Also, I would often have to install mobile broadband for customers, transfer contact details and set up email accounts on smartphones.

I multi-tasked managing a team of, up to 20 staff in a fast paced, target driven environment. I was in charge or ordering, stock control, paper work, scheduling, and the general smooth running of the store. I dealt with unanticipated issues as they arose, e.g. staff not showing up for work. I had to keep my staff motivated at all times, so I planned my day and co-ordinated with senior staff on what needed to be done and delegated who was to do it.

Here I gave customers the feel of a real Irish pub (wit, banter and chat). I took food and drink orders, kept track of tabs and cash for the shift. I also trained in newer members of staff, and took a lead role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the bar. I often delegated jobs that needed to be done throughout the day. This resulted in the bar being classed as the "cleanest bar in Las Vegas" that the health inspector had seen.

I wrote a Thesis on "The effectiveness of cryotherapy in dealing with sports injuries" I was the team captain of the "Newstalk 106-108 fm Student enterprise competition", representing the Sligo Institute of Technology. We were the overall winners of 2008.
