LAMINATE OWNER -Responsible for BOM. -Responsible for laminate sub-block coordination. -Leading Module and Filter team alignment meetings. -Responsible for complete Module measurement evaluation (TX, RX and S-Parameters). -Working side by side with the manager on "hot topics" that arise with help from the complete team. -Covering team members and manager during vacations. -Working together with different topics (trying to have an holistic approach and frankly spoken learning a lot for other engineers) such us: -->Production. -->Applications. -->Digital system engineering. -->Marketing. -->Product Management. MODULE TX -TX chain matching network tuning (simulation and experiment based) targeting the best compromise between ACLR and current consumption. -Selection of better matching strategy with load-pull measurement evaluation together with small signal simulations to better assess TX impedance matching and PA performance at a certain reference plane. MODULE EM -Simulation of complete LTE and 5G RF Modules (containing PAs, LNAs, Multiplexers and ASM) using HFSS and ADS / AWR for wireless applications for major players in the smartphone industry. -Analysis (based on simulations and experiments) and improvement of undesired couplings (isolation and TX leakages) that lead to desense problems in the system.-Floorplan design minimizing known undesired coupling (sneak) paths and guaranteeing best RF performance. FILTER INTEGRATION -Integration of BAW filters with multiplexer networks based on SMDs and laminate integrated inductors targeting low inband impedance variation (in TX) and low losses (TX and RX). -BAW filter design using AWR and in-house developed PDKs. -Fab support in the manufacture of BAW dies on wafer for multiplexers which enable carrier aggregation.

-Design and integration with PCB of new very wideband (4-40 GHz) key components and building blocks for radar as Wilkinson divisor or antenna using new 3D printing fabrication methods. - Model, integration and test of novel very wideband RF-subsystems (layout PCB with Altium Designer) for real-time MIMO-radar concepts for different applications such as 3D imaging, helicopter/plane landing system or target detection. -Design of new system concepts for MIMO Radar (cognitive Radar, multifunctionality and SWaP reduction for flying platforms). - Integration of a complete radar system prototype. - Characterisation of the MIMO-radar. - Analysis of test results and evaluation of possibilities for future product development. - Preparation of project reports. - Presentation of results at national / international project meetings and international conferences. - Supervision of master students.

o Design of high & low power passive microwave components such as circulators, couplers , loads, transitions, switches and filters . Measurement (clean room) of corresponding breadboards . o Optimization & failure analysis of assemblies (30 GHz Imux), switches and components. o Technical assistance and preparation of design, testing (test plan) and manufacturing documents. o Engineering support and supervision of tests for flight models (FM) devices. o Automation of measured results (S parameters), evaluation and numerical analysis (interpolations, spikes searching, numerical integration) with MATLAB.
