Emmanuella is a passionate leader in the field of technology and cybersecurity, with over a decade of progressive experience in the technology industry. Her unwavering dedication to her field has propelled her to the forefront of her profession. She holds a master's degree in Cybersecurity from the prestigious University of Liverpool, where she honed her expertise and gained valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of cybersecurity. Currently, Emmanuella holds the position of Head of Technology and Cybersecurity at BPR Bank Rwanda Plc, a prominent institution resulting from the successful merger of KCB Bank Rwanda and Banque Populaire du Rwanda. In this role, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and played a pivotal role in overseeing the recently completed technology systems merger project for both banks. Her ability to seamlessly integrate complex technological infrastructures has further solidified her reputation as a trusted and innovative leader. She is also the program lead of mentor her Africa, a program aimed at closing the gender gap in the cybersecurity field. Emmanuella's remarkable achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, she was honored with the prestigious FEMTech Leader of the Year award, a testament to her exceptional leadership and contributions to the technology industry. Additionally, she was among the ten women who were recognized with the Angaza Awards in 2020 by Kenya Wallstreets. These awards celebrate outstanding women for their exceptional contributions to the banking and financial services sector in East Africa. A strong advocate for women's empowerment, Emmanuella's commitment to fostering gender equality extends beyond her professional responsibilities. In her free time, she actively dedicates herself to mentoring and uplifting the next generation of aspiring technologists, inspiring them to pursue careers in the technology and cybersecurity fields.
