My role within the organization was to launch and establish the new company headquarters in Paris, hire and train life sciences talents and grow the porfolio of clients and partners in all innovative fields of life sciences: medical devices, biotechnology and pharma, ATMPs, cosmetics, digital health In this position, I also was responsible for conducting market surveys to assist start-ups, labs and tech companies in their strategies to launch new innovative projects in emerging healthcare markets.

PX’THERAPEUTICS is a French pioneer in the production of customized recombinant proteins, offers custom-made protein production for academic laboratories, companies and start-up that require quality proteins to perform preliminary studies (in-vitro/in-vivo). Since the beginning of 2019, PX’ has refocused its services to R & D grade activities and stopped its GMP bioproduction services. Aguettant, a pioneer in drugs for injection since 1903, invests in the field of biotechnologies. Aguettant Biotech, a fully-owned subsidiary of Aguettant Santé, acquired a majority stake in the equity of PX’Therapeutics in 2012. My role within the organization was to support the launch of the biopharmaceutical subsidiary by reaching out to early innovators developing antibodies and therapeutic proteins in order to engage them through NDAs onwards to first sales.

The research conducted in the Plant-Microorganism Interactions (PMI) department aims at decreasing the use of pesticides and fertilizers in the global context of a sustainable agriculture. My role as a project engineer was to apply research dealing with the induction of plant resistance to pathogens by elicitors of defense responses. Basic research mainly concerns (i) the identification and study of molecular events essential to elicitor-induced resistance (IR) and (ii) the importance of plant development / physiological status on its responsiveness to IR. My specific research field involved exploring marine biotechnology and its applications to crop vaccination.
