Supply chain operations regarded as the bone of business operations, my responsibilities as the manager included efficient management and implementation of various supply chain activities and programs that supported seamless production flow under procure to pay (P2P), contract management, project management, inventory management, logistics operation and vendor management

2.1. Responsible for providing all the Ghana SAP end users with appropriate SAP support and assistance in order to optimise usage of the business application 2.2. Responsible for developing, updating and managing the relevant SAP master data and transactional data procedures pertaining to the SAP modules which the Super User is responsible for 2.3. Responsible for standardization, updating and management of relevant master data in SAP 2.4. Responsible for analysing system and business process issues and recommending solutions 2.5. Responsible for preparing business cases for identified SAP functionality upgrades or improvements 2.6. Responsible for coordinating the relevant SAP User Group activities including User Group meetings 2.7. Developing new reports to support business reporting requirements 2.8. Team leader for new SAP projects in relevant SAP functional area 2.9. Required to assist with the roll-out of SAP to other group companies 2.10. Responsible for determining all measures, including changing the organisation of work and the design of business process, necessary to improve or correct the business process performance. 2.11. Responsible for ensuring that Gold Fields business process policies are adhered to in terms of the SAP application 2.12. Responsible for performing SAP user training needs analysis 2.13. Responsible to provide ongoing training of users as per training needs analysis 2.14. Responsible for developing the SAP knowledge and skills of identified SAP Power Users 2.15. Act as Consultant to heads of departments on matters affecting SAP and assist their departments in the write up of and review of work procedures. 2.16. Responsible for providing input to the Corporate Business Application Support team on matters relevant to the SAP application in the relevant SAP modules 2.17. Assist in knowledge sharing regarding the application of SAP between all the Ghana Operations

 Operational Excellence; Supply Chain team leader for SAP implementation project;  Managed activities of logistics operations unit and provided effective leadership to all direct reports to achieve the department’s objectives. Collaborated with Commercial and Finance department to ensure key distributors and French West Africa orders are timely delivered.  Planning; developed and implemented short, medium and long term material requirement plan (MRP) system for the Ghana operations.  Convener for monthly Demand and Supply meetings; prepared weekly and monthly production plan, prepared weekly and monthly management operations report. Approves and release goods for sales to distributors.  Shipping; solely reduced overall shipping cost by 40% within 6 months. Instituted ZERO demurrage payment, timely processing of duty payments, and negotiation with shipping lines for more demurrage free days.  Directly responsible for managing all Freight Forwarders (Local and International), contact for all customs matters, review and approves all Shipping invoices and link between Cadbury Ghana and Cadbury France for all French west Africa deliveries.  Inventory management; Designed and updated the company’s inventory management system and policy respectively within 9 months of employment.  Procurement; helped to designed service level contract process, directly responsible for all foreign purchases, permanent member of Procurement Review Board (PRB).  Instituted vendor management procedures, which helped to bridged gaps and improved our pricing and service delivery.  Practical experience in FMCG Supply chain management processes, SAP implementation and people management.

 The most outstanding staff award winner 2010  Designed and implemented Transport policy for the bank 3 months after employment.  Increased the banks fleet from 43 to 89 vehicles within 2 years with 60% reduction in operational cost of 43 vehicles.  Instituted Regular training and refresher course for all bank drivers and vehicle users which helped to reduced incidents by 70% on a yearly bases..  Prepared and managed annual fleet budget for the bank.  Designed and implemented disposal and replacement of fleet policy.  Member of the branch development project team, responsible for logistics. The team developed the bank’s total branched from 8 to 18 nationwide within 2 years.  Managed insurance portfolio of the bank, provided professional advice on vehicle collateral valuation.

 Contributed to 60% reduction of shipping cost as the logistics coordinator for Sabodala Mining project – Senegal, Samira hill mining project – Niger, Loulo Mining project – Mali, Kiniearo mining project – Guinea and Ghana Operations office.  Coordinated movements of equipment from various ports to our operating sites in the respective countries.  Arranged for imports and exports documentation requirements for each country for all shipments.  Managed all contracted freight forwarders globally and negotiated freight rates with Airlines and shipping lines.  Advised suppliers / vendors with effective and efficient mode of transport for each shipment.  Liaised with all international forwarders to ensure timely pick-ups and shipment of our goods.  Helped to implement the most effective and efficient internal communication plan to always keep our site project managers and engineers updated with their outstanding orders.  Highly exposed to international trade, international shipment requirements, and various nationals and mining logistics in Africa.
