Starting and growing a marketing & design freelance agency with a difference has been a lifelong dream of mine and over the past few years I have enjoyed seeing this come to live. Now I have built this to a point where I am able to move on to the next chapter of my career. From the time I began to now I have managed to secure a 12-month contract with Wintec, had over 100 clients through the door and grown the business solely through organic social media – no paid marketing has been conducted.

Taking the lead with another colleague to rebrand the company and merge three brands into one before the company shifts into it's new premises. This involves designing the new office space with the graphic designer, communicating the change both internally and externally, working with a local videographer to get some videos made for the company and ensuring all the company's vehicles, business cards and marketing materials are linked into the new brand. It also involves re-designing the whole website with our developers and inputing content for this new website. Responsible for aiding Graphic Designer in mocking up website designs and marketing materials etc. In charge of getting the social media channels running more effectively and having a greater social media presence.

Data entry, PR duties, follow up emails, blog updates.

Main duties are to prepare a marketing strategy for the company. Advance currently has no marketing they are involved in, so my job is to research ways that would be effective for them to effectively reach their target market and increase clientele.

Managing the online business for a Waikato based Appliance Store this includes: Ensuring the website is up to date with the most recent product launches from various suppliers, that all the products online are current and the specifications are correct. Ensure that all supplier promotions are mirrored on the website. Managing the social media for the company. Currently active on Facebook and Twitter - in the process of expanding into a blog space. In charge of sending regular email marketing campaigns to customer database for relevant promotions, sale weekends, events etc. Managed and run a successful event including having in-store demonstrations from key suppliers and outside food merchants. Managing and co-ordinating with chosen radio station for MCing on the day and ensuring correct advertising was done before the event.

Casual role whislt searching for full-time work. Was responsible for ensuring the most recent press releases were online which involved using photoshop, and HTML code through the back end of the website. Also responsible for creating research publications based on past research done, finding and collating relevant information and presenting it in a professional booklet for outside organisations reference.

Data entry, teaching, marking

Role involves developing all new advertising material for techniques used and offerings to clients. Development of new website from scratch and new client material i.e. take home client packs filled with information on their condition and what they need to do to resolve this issue. Helping to push the business within Hamilton's CBD through advertising and membership options, event involvement and special offers to local gyms etc.
