I lead the EU Operations Privacy Legal team, supporting business line lawyers on privacy risk assessment, compliance escalations.

I lead the UK Last Mile Legal Team, supporting a range of last mile delivery businesses including the Delivery Service Partner Program (UK/IE), Amazon Flex (UK), Amazon Hub (Lockers, Counters, Hub DP - all pan-UK/EU).

Since 2020, I have supported the Amazon Last Mile delivery business across multiple products and countries, on a wide range of commercial and contentious matters, ranging from commercial services contracts to employment, privacy and safety matters. Previously, I supported the Retail business with a focus on goods contracts (B2B and B2C) and a similarly broad range of advisory topics ranging consumer protection laws to product compliance.

I supported the Amazon Retail business on a wide range of commercial and contentious matters, ranging from terms negotiations with key suppliers to roll out of new programmes, and advising on issues including IP infringement, product liability and contractual disputes.

Following qualification, I was out on full-time secondment at Amazon UK providing cover for the role of Corporate Counsel for Consumer Electronics in Amazon's UK Retail business. I provide legal advice on a broad range of topics ranging from supplier contracts to disputes, and consumer law to product compliance issues.

I completed seats in Corporate, Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation (specialising in Competition), as well as a six-month client secondment. Previous experience includes: • Advising on corporate governance and company law matters, for example the appointment of auditors and the delay of a forced buy-back of public company shares. • Assisting on due diligence reviews, including drafting sections of report to the prospective buyer of a UK company owning software to identify digital advertising space for resale and suggested disclosures for the sellers of a US medical technology company. • IP infringement matters including the assessment of notices served by rights-owners, and running a series of matters for the owner of several tobacco brands relating to trade mark infringements by e-liquid retailers online and in-store, drafting C&D letters and undertakings. • Day-to-day management of the anti-counterfeiting practice, liaising with authorities to identify suitable commercial resolutions to breaches of clients' IP rights, and drafting template Applications for Action in the first year of new legislative requirements. • Advising pro bono client on different company structures, IP, data protection, consumer law and tax issues for introducing a paid subscription element to his online gaming forum.

Legal advisor to the Hardlines and Consumables teams. Work included: • Drafting and amendment of various commercial contracts including NDAs, IP/content licensing agreements, services contracts, terms & conditions (B2B and consumer), MSAs and Work Orders. • Advising on restrictions on the sale of different products for legal or policy reasons, and on advertising and marketing issues. • Legal support to the launch of projects including a new delivery option and on-site discount vouchers. • Advising on legal issues in relation to online, television and print advertisements and promotions, preparing customer-facing content including terms and conditions.

Seats in Commercial Litigation/Competition and Intellectual Property.

Paralegal in Corporate, IPIT & Communications, and Commercial departments. • Administration of “Ask PLC” service, which answers subscribers’ legal queries; proofing, editing, coding and publishing responses; researching and drafting some answers myself. • Daily trawl of relevant websites to find content for subscriber updates; proofed updates and collated into weekly and monthly e-mails.

PA to the Director, then project support role; promoted to Critical Issues Manager in August 2008. • Responsible for management and delivery of many key projects commissioned by central Government and other healthcare organisations. • Account manager for Department of Health contract (£1.48m), with day-to-day responsibility for administration and management of the overall work programme. • Coordinated input from expression of interest stage through to contract award during procurement for WRT’s successor organisation; liaison with seven consortia in parallel (multiple partners, sub-contractors); significant contribution to drafting of successful bid. • PRINCE2 (2009) Practitioner and Managing Successful Programmes (2007) Foundation.
