The Kids Focused Coach is the Innovation and Co-Design lead for children and young people at Family by Family. The Kids Focused Coach leads and supports the kids coaching team. They implement solutions that increase the capacity of kids to be change-makers within their own, and other families. The Kids Focused Coach and their team co-design and solution generate with, motivate, and inspire families (including children), who have faced many different challenges and stresses in their lives, ranging from experiencing social isolation through to engagement with the child protection system. The Kids Focused Coach facilitates, rather than drives change.

The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) exists to help find new ways of tackling our big, stuck social problems like child abuse and neglect, Indigenous disadvantage, and the challenges of ageing and caring.We champion the people, methods and ideas that have a positive impact on the lives of Australians.We want to create systems that work for people. To enable people to choose change, rather than be coerced into it. To develop practical ways for governments, social agencies and communities to work together and get results.And while we don't have all the answers, we're willing to be bold, take risks, and explore new ideas to find out what really makes a difference. That's what social innovation means to us.We use the best of design, social science and business thinking to develop our own new programs in the community, and to build the innovation capability of the social sector.
