I had the opportunity to work at Tulu during summer breaks. Depending on the day and the number of people checked into the hotel, I either worked at Tulu or its sister restaurant, Beach Bar and Grille. Being able to adjust quickly and efficiently to different restaurants allowed me to be a successful waitress with happy customers. I had to communicate with different parts of the hotel to make sure customer satisfaction was fulfilled during their visit. With customers vacationing at the hotel all summer, it was not uncommon to get to know the customers and ask where they were from. Talking to so many different people with different backgrounds allowed me to expand my communication skills.

I head coached a 15 travel team and was an assistant coach of a 13 travel team in the same season. I coached girls who were just learning the sport and also girls who had years of experience. This allowed me to hone in on the fundamentals while also teaching them strategy of the game. I led clinics of 20+ girls and taught private lessons outside of the normal practice hours

Playing for four years on the UMW Women's Volleyball team and member of Psi Chi and Chi Alpha Sigma with a grade point average of 3.65.
