Team lead, people manager, accountable for team performance and continuous performance in a Procurement shared services model. Develops, retains and supports the team to get the very best from them. Supports management cross functional procurement team. Develops objectives and plans for team associates and track performance to annual goals. Administers activities relative to Supplier Research, Bid management and appropriate documentation practices as required by the stakeholders. Maintains thorough documentation of respective process and organizes information to be compliant during Audits. Works in conjunction with the vertical heads to share the services to internal stake holders. Train new team members on process specific activities and ensures training material is up to date. Perform Appraisals, manages team attrition and motivates team to exceed SLAs. Inventory management by using various models like sales to internal sites, sales to distributors, usage of E&O parts by closely working with FA team by initiating solder tests / baking based on MSL. Exploring various options within organization to get the parts on time to meet customer’s dynamic demand. Handle escalations if any via internal escalation management tool to reach the Global Commodity teams on time, and escalate matters requiring the senior managements attention on a timely basis. Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement process.

Purchaser responsible for entire plant including spares (Electrical parts like IGBT, Diodes, MOSFET, Resistors, Capacitors, Filters, Cables, Transformers, Inductors, etc.), services, capex, direct materials from procure to pay. Coordinate with clearing agents for imports of goods. Responsible for meeting the planned cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier’s reduction, PO coverage, customer satisfaction, payment terms, spend compliance, inventory optimization, processes automation. Analysis of problems to identify best solutions and driven improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Role included Identification, documentation, and communication of best practices using of benchmarking, surveys and case studies to establish preferred business Practices.
