Online classes I teach/have taught include Techniques of Science-Medical Writing and Contemporary Science-Medical Writing: Creative and Professional Forms. In June 2019, I organized and taught a weeklong residency course in Washington, D.C., Science Policy, Funding, and Politics. I also act as an adviser to thesis students.

* Reported on news and trends in medical case management, care coordination and patient-centered care for publications under the Dorland Health brand, including Case in Point magazine and newsletters Case in Point Weekly, Patient Advocate Report and Medical Home Today * Edited Dorland Health special reports written by outside healthcare professionals * Helped develop a social media strategy and managed Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts

* Wrote breaking news, trend and feature stories for the newspaper’s website and weekly print product * Wrote four stories per week for the newspaper’s weekly print newspaper and one short web story per day * Followed the high-profile case of a Baltimore cardiologist accused of implanting unnecessary heart stents in patients, which resulted in several original stories not covered by other local news outlets

* Generated story ideas and wrote five stories per week with a focus on biomedical research, drug discovery and R&D funding for leading industry publication FierceBiotechResearch * Contributed regularly to other Fierce life sciences publications including FierceBiotech, FierceVaccines and FierceDiagnostics * Managed daily web operations including: copy editing, formatting and optimizing content for SEO, tagging and linking content, writing SEO-friendly headlines, publishing stories to the web using CMS and laying out and updating website home pages * Managed active Twitter and LinkedIn presences for Fierce life sciences publications * Proofread and deployed emails newsletters using Silverpop
