I worked in the R&D department with the mechanical design team and the disposables team developing next generation medical equipment and running numerous performance and safety tests on equipment. I worked on projects designing and testing mechanical components of medical equipment to ISO 13485 mechanical safety standards. I co-authored a scientific article on the performance analysis of an air-charged catheter series, performing testing and analysis on the equipment for the article.

My work here can only be described as a CAD-guru / jack-of-all-trades. With responsibilities ranging from mechanical analysis/testing to work instruction creation and technical document updating to operating 3D printers I did a little bit of everything in this role. I designed a lifecycle test for a new line of linear actuator which involved designing and building the testing apparatus and running the test to over 2 million cycles. To meet ISO 9001:2008 quality management standards I created over 50 work instructions which clearly explained the assembly of various products including necessary tools, parts and troubleshooting technics. I updated and created numerous technical documents and models using SolidWorks; including: 3D models and assemblies, 2D drawings, Bill-of-Materials, characteristic curves, high detailed 3D renderings, etc. Which were sent to clients and posted on the company website Completed mechanical analysis to assist clients in selecting components. Applications of components included manufacturing, visual displays, and amusement park animatronics. Worked extensively with 3D printers to optimizing printing capabilities and designing for 3D printing.

Assisted in establishing onsite Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) including daily monitoring and testing of water quality to select best treatment chemicals and dosing. Provided tours on new WWTP to Unilever management/supervisors as well as 3rd party contractors. Worked with the operational engineers to maintain the plants refrigeration system and computerized the tracking and analysis of the facility's daily pressure and temperatures.

Worked directly with customers in a friendly manner, helping them with any thing they may need including price checks, locating items or qualified sales associates, and of course processing sales. I was responsible for keeping my work space organized, having a good understanding of the products we sell, and doing basic calculations of a regular basis accurately without any aid.
