In deze functie verzorgde ik samen met twee collega's de planning van de bezetting van de collectieritten bij zakelijke klanten en tevens de vakantieplanning. Hierbij hoorde ook het inwerken van nieuwe chauffeurs en bijspringen in geval van ziekte of calamiteiten. Dagelijkse werkzaamheden bestonden uit het maken van de planning, de chauffeurs van de juiste materialen voorzien zodat zij hun werk goed konden uitvoeren en het verwerken van de digitale ritgegevens. Ook een regelmatig contact met klantenservice om problemen ad hoc op te lossen maakten deel uit van dit werk. Ik heb dit werk ervaren als zeer veelzijdig en uitdagend (vooral rond de drukke kerstperiode) en vond het vooral leuk om de chauffeursgroep te kunnen aansturen en begeleiden.

I was originally hired to work on protein purification and structural analysis in the protein structure group. Later the focus of my work shifted to inventing and producing suitable vaccine candidates based on proteins and the analysis of those candidates. This already gave me some insight in the process of vaccine discovery so when the focus of the whole company was shifted to inventing a drug against Alzheimer's Disease, I was able to switch easily. Currently my daily activities are mainly focussed on the preparation and characterization of stable Abeta oligomers and testing the (longterm) stability of these oligomers. The Abeta oligomers are used in a HTS-assay to identify possible candidates to reduce the toxic effects of the oligomers. In parallel studies proteins of other diseases are also 'oligomerized' and tested for their toxicity and stability. For more complete and detailed information please see the website www.crossbeta.com.
