Acted as a mentor and counselor to a group of 13 at risk junior high students while applying knowledge gained from my Psychology coursework for a total of 100 hours over the semester for Undergraduate Internship course Met one on one with students and talked about the problems they are facing ranging from interpersonal skills, bullying, self-esteem issues, depression, self-harm, succeeding in school, and setting goals to overcome their problems Spent additional time at Woodrow Wilson Junior High in the Special Education room and worked one on one and in small groups with students on the autism spectrum and students with other learning disabilities
