Even though I am just a recent graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College, my Bachelor's in English has thoroughly prepared me for the work force. Besides studying and analyzing classic and contemporary literature, I have diligently written essays, developed problem solving and critical thinking skills, and honed my grasp of the English language. I would be happy to send samples of my work to help you form a more accurate impression of my potential as an employee. In addition to my experience writing for my major, I was also a tutor. I proofread and corrected other students' papers and helped them expand on their own ideas. I also worked on the St. Thomas Aquinas College newspaper The Thoma, which only added to my writing expertise. I gained more practice as a team player, floating ideas back and forth with my editor and other staff writers, and got to flex more of my writing muscles. I hope to eventually study English literature in graduate school or get a full time job that both utilizes my skills and addresses my varied interests.
