Promoted to senior management role in operations, starting a new layer of management in the business. Key goal to develop the efficiency and business attractiveness of GTK manufacturing, both in our UK and Romania production facilities. Ongoing roles include developing systems and facilities with future demand and scalability in mind, developing the manufacturing strategy and driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement through the business.

Promoted to product management with key goals of growth in the cable assembly product group. Interfacing directly with customers on technical and commercial issues, and supporting sales on customer visits and production/operations in technical matters. Ongoing roles involve developing and implementing 5 year business plans, setting the direction for the cable assembly product group and managing all new and existing cable assembly projects to ensure best possible chance of winning business.

Promoted to management level, taking on the responsibility of a growing workforce with up to 30 direct reports. Responsible for ensuring on time delivery and quality KPIs were met, along with enabling the growth of UK production. Key focus of continual improvement resulted in my implementation of systems such as Siemens Preactor (advanced scheduling software) and Mestec (shop floor data collection software), ensuring forward visibility improvements and efficiency gains through the data collected.

Promoted to supervision level as part of a graduate fast-track management scheme. Took control of the production operations as a whole, with 8 to 10 staff as direct reports. Key focus of ensuring operators' training requirements and skill sets constantly kept up-to-date, along with acting as technical support for build queries and implementing ongoing lean initiatives.

My key goal in this role was reorganising stores to ensure compliance with ISO9001:2008. Also involved in goods in/goods out processes, kitting, operation and programming of cable cut and strip machinery and supply of stock to production. Migrated into production, physically building cable assemblies. Learned assembly techniques such as soldering, crimping and IDC/IDT termination, along with cable assembly testing using automated equipment.

Responsible for goods in/goods out, stock picking and face-to-face interactions at the sales counter. Also involved in stock counts and system updates, especially during the transition to SAP.
