Emanuele Barison

My name is Emanuele Barison and I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate from the Politecnico di Milano. I currently work as a Clinical Engineer at ASL VC, where I am responsible for the management, evaluation, and maintenance of medical technologies, ensuring their safety, performance, and regulatory compliance within healthcare environments. My role involves collaboration with medical staff, risk assessment, technology assessment, and support in procurement processes of biomedical equipment. I completed my master's thesis project at the Department of Chemistry, Materials, and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta" in Professor Gabriele Candiani's laboratory. My work focused on testing the efficiency of the polycationic polymer PDMAEMA as an in vitro transfection agent through a comparative study with commonly used commercial transfection systems, developing strong analytical and experimental skills. I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of Pavia, where my final thesis project focused on exploring Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling under the supervision of Professor Paolo Magni. During my academic and professional path, I developed competencies in biomedical instrumentation, quality management systems, healthcare regulations, data analysis, and problem-solving, combined with a solid foundation in engineering principles applied to clinical settings.
