Project Theewaterskloof is a community project focused on the social and economic development of the communities in the region of Theewaterskloof, South Africa. My mission was to write English articles for newspaper The Greyton Sentinel and to direct and produce a video promoting the project on behalf of the HAN University of Applied Sciences.

Twinkle is an independent knowledge and information platform for e-commerce entrepreneurs and professionals based in the Netherlands. Every year, Twinkle publishes the Twinkle100, a 250 pages’ report featuring the largest online retailers in the Netherlands. My job consisted of creating and editing specialised but entertaining content for the Twinkle100, including statistics, background stories and forecasts about e-commerce in the Netherlands.

In the television program De Kist (The Coffin), famous Dutch persons are interviewed about life and death. During my internship, I was responsible for the entire editorial and productional process. This process included being in contact with the guests, executing research on their lives, carrying out the preparatory interviews, assisting the production team during filming and writing press releases.

The Nour Project was created by the Dutch branch of AIESEC. Every year, thirty students explore the Arab culture with the aim to bridge the gap between the Western and Arab world. By learning about the MENA region (Middle East and North-Africa) and living in an Arab country, the students try to challenge prejudices and create mutual understanding between the Western and Arab world. During the Nour Project, I attended lectures and workshops from professionals and volunteered in civil society organisations working with orphans in Bahrain. Back in the Netherlands, I shared my knowledge and experiences through stories, photos and presentations.
