About
In my ideal world, sustainability is a major focus in every industry, environmental justice is the rule rather than the exception, and single use plastic straws are a thing of the past. I entered the environmental science field with this ideal in mind and I believe that my skills and experiences can and will contribute to the achievement these goals. As a staff scientist with Langan, my focus is on providing exceptional environmental services to our clients, whether their needs are as complex as a years-long soil management program implemented during construction or as simple as a Phase I ESA for refinancing a property. Outside the office, I can be found exploring the Connecticut State Park system, training for half-marathons, baking for family and friends, and reading anything and everything I can get my hands on.

Experience
undergraduate student researcher

As an undergraduate researcher, I worked for ten weeks on a study of methane emissions from five lakes on the UNDERC property and learned the basics of vertebrate, aquatic, forest, and insect ecology. My research was summarized in a scientific paper and presented to the faculty at UNDERC, as well as to my fellow researchers.

My role as a member of Main Street Daily Operations and Parade Audience Control afforded me the opportunity to interact with Guests from all over the country and around the world on a daily basis. My primary objective was keeping Guests and performers safe during the Magic Kingdom's various entertainment offerings; however, I was also available as a resource for any Guests who had comments, questions, or concerns that needed to be addressed.

I have worked on projects in Massachusetts, New York City, and throughout Connecticut.
