The Kamloops Longboard Club is a registered non-profit club that supports all longboarders and downhill skateboarders in Kamloops and the surrounding Okanagan area. From pros to beginners, kids and adults, all are welcome to come shred. Our goal is to promote and advance the sport of longboarding by running weekly sessions, organizing events, and being a positive influence in our local communities. All while encouraging proper equipment use, safe practice on open roads, and contributing towards living a healthy and active lifestyle.

Developing payment integration, cross-border, real-time, and bank-to-bank payment in the Global Market. Improving our merchant onboarding systems integrity through continuous preventative maintenance and upgrades. Facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies through the rituals of stand-up, retrospectives, sprint planning, refinement sessions, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, & the practice of iterative and incremental changes with frequent releases.

Assisted Professors in teaching Database concepts, explaining content, overseeing exams, and marking assignments for COMP 3610 Database Systems

Ran a workshop introducing Children (Age 6-12) to building Robots. The 4 program focuses on providing campers with hands-on interactive activities that introduce them to the world of Robotics and Engineering. Campers built their own Arduino robots and were introduced to C++ programming for Arduino. The campers learned how to program their Robots to self-drive, sense obstacles, turn, follow lines, and navigate mazes.

As an elected representative, Elycia strives to achieve inclusive learning, living, and working environments for Students with Disabilities. She activly campaigns to improve sexual violence outreach and education by student consultation, promoting safe spaces, and working with TRU to review the Sexual Violence Policy. She is committed to making TRU a place where all students can have a safe, inclusive, and active experience.

I was hired by New Gold New Afton Energy Management department to create a system that can track and report Diesel consumption. I used PI system tools, C#, and MySQL to create a reliable database for fueling events. For the reporting I used Microsoft PowerBI tools to create user friendly reports with support for natural language queries. The fun part of this project was working with 2 separate legacy systems used to report fueling events for the mine, which in the past caused overlap. I worked to pull data from both systems, and eliminate duplicate fueling events to ensure accurate data.

Developing and Maintaining Navistream 2 Support Platform.

Developing and maintaining the Navistream2 server. Logistic solutions, Test Driven Development. Writing and maintaining automated tests for the multiple transportation features implemented by Navistream2.

My experience at Thompson Rivers University has exposed me to a vast set of programming experiences and opportunities. My time on TRU Computing Science Club Board has been indefinitely rewarding. As a board member, continuous communication and teamwork is a staple. Working on the board gives me the opportunity to provide a student voice to the department, as well as give students social and academic support.
