Responsible for leading the operations of chlor-alkali manufacturing plants across the South and Southeast regions in Brazil.

• Lead industrial operations at YIS - Yara Industrial Solutions – Cubatão 1&2 Sites. • Focus on chemical production of ammonia, nitric, phosphoric and sulfuric acids, nitrates and fertilizers. • Drive site strategy and operations to guarantee safe and sustainable activities, efficient processes, high quality products and an engaged team. • Team of around 900 internal collaborators and 500 external contractors.

• Lead implementation of Production System in all operational sites in Latam (20) and also non-manufacturing areas, guiding change management/leadership development, opportunity assessment, Lean/6Sigma/OE activities & communities (7), program management. • Develop and guide Production System Executive Program for offsite leadership team Latam. • Manage process optimization activities (plant and field operations) in the regional level, connecting local demands to global strategies (~60 projects/y | ~25M€ savings/y). • Coach / support operational excellence and optimization projects in 11 Seeds production sites and 9 Chemical operations in Latam Region, create and lead regional projects governance. • Leadership of 6 senior regional managers - impact on 2800 collaborators.

• Strategically prospect industrial projects, engineering, technologies, systems and innovation opportunities in a cross divisional regional approach (3 divisions, 10 Chemical/Biological CropScience sites and 4 Pharma/Consumer Health sites). • Establish robust functional partnership to build valuable business cases, propose projects and manage stakeholders. Guarantee alignment to divisional strategies and business targets. • Project Management: plan, detail, develop and execute Capex projects > 5 mio€, covering the disciplines of Project Execution, Process/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, Automation, Equipment Integrity, Process & Plant Safety. • Leadership of 22 employees (seniors project managers, discipline leaders and engineers).

• Lead industrial site operations & Supply Chain for Southern Africa (South Africa + 9 countries) – CropScience / Environmental Science / Animal Health + tolling activities. • Responsible for Production / Supply Chain / Quality, Health, Safety and Environment / Engineering / Maintenance / Legal / Site Controlling & Administration. • Drive definition and implementation of product supply strategies to ensure productivity, flexibility, safe operation, cost efficiency and people development. Lead short and mid-term budget management (OpEx, CapEx and headcount). • Develop a Lean manufacturing capability and performance culture program. • Site capabilities: formulation (9 lines), packaging (10 lines), Quality Control and Maintenance facilities, warehouses, storage tanks area, waste treatment plant and incinerator, Seed Growth Center. • Represent industrial operations / Supply Chain in South African Country Leadership Team. • Coordination of community engagement and social/sustainability activities. • Leadership of 130 employees.

• Responsible for production lines (Fungicides / Insecticides / Herbicides): formulation (16 lines) and packaging (15 lines) – around 60,000 tons/y – larger Bayer CropScience Site in Latin America. • Lead Operational Excellence and Process Development team / Innovation & Industrialization / contin-uous improvement, line and plant start-ups. • Develop a Lean philosophy and performance culture program during plant capacity expansion period (2009-2013). • Manage raw material bulk storage and waste treatment area activities. • Leadership of 520 employees distributed in 4 different units, 24/7 operation scheme. • Further responsibilities: Production Strategy / Performance Management / OpEx / Capex / Projects / Hazop / Trainings & Team Development.

• Responsible for liquids and solids (Animal Health, Environmental Science and CropScience) production lines, Trichlorfon and Methamidophos Synthesis, including toll manufacturing management. • Coordination of liquid/solid residues treatment and raw material bulk storage area activities. • Leadership of 380 employees distributed in 6 different units (Fungicides/Insecticides, Herbicides, AH-Powder and Liquids, Granules and Active Ingredient Synthesis).

• Responsible for powder products formulation and filling for different business ensuring specific regulatory and company requirements for each business category | 100 employees | 8 production lines.

• Coordination of formulation and packaging process improvements, implementation of new formulations in industrial scale, plants start up and production performance management. • Coordination of innovate industrial installations and equipment studies.

• Development of agrochemical formulations in laboratory scale, adapting the original formulas to Brazilian conditions, and testing new raw materials. • Execution of formulation and packaging stability tests in special conditions.

• Physico-chemical analytical control of process samples and final products. • Analytical methods development.
