Leading the planning and coordination of maintenance activities to ensure maximum plant availability and production efficiency while minimizing downtime and costs. Overseeing the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance systems, ensuring effective maintenance strategies are in place to address equipment reliability and performance. Managing multiple central projects, delivering results aligned with top management targets, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals. Conducting criticality mapping of plant assets and developing maintenance plans to prioritize essential operations and prevent unplanned stoppages. Monitoring and analyzing maintenance performance through detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports, enabling data-driven decision-making. Optimizing spare parts inventory and managing the maintenance budget, including cost control for outsourcing, spare parts, and hired equipment. Supervising major upgrades and installations, including the successful execution of projects such as crane installations and rolling mill enhancements. Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards, achieving operational safety targets, and fostering a zero-injury work environment. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of high-speed rolling equipment and plant operations.

• Increase the plant availability by (0.3 %) by reducing unplanned mechanical breakdowns • Improve and develop the mechanical equipment performance through the modifications (considering the correct standards and supplier’s consultation) • Minimize the maintenance cost through: 1. avoiding the damage of high cost equipment by applying the proper maintenance type. 3. Decreasing oil consumption (from 1024 Gr/Ton to 593 Gr/Ton) by decreasing the oil leakages and minimizing the waste oil using (recycling oil filtration system) • Review the daily mechanical maintenance report to be executed during the planned stoppages to maximize plant availability. • Prepare the daily management report (based on the analysis of previous day’s activities and the action plans) including the failure analysis reports (following up the counter measure actions to prevent the failure recurrence) • Provide technical studies for the major troubles by using the root cause analysis techniques. • Conduct daily meeting with operation crew to discuss their inspection results. • Supervise the repair, overhaul, replacement and site installation of plant equipment • Create and modify the work standards for the plant equipment considering maintenance manual instructions and supplier’s recommendations • Prepare and supervise major upgrading projects such as installation of two coil handling cranes (10 ton) in 2013 and mill yard crane (25 ton) in 2016 (including the replacement and installation of mill yard rails) with BANDO Cranes • Review the maintenance performance by monitoring the downtime trends on weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual basis and executing the proper actions based on the analysis. • Spare parts management: • Prepare the annual budget (spare parts, outsourcing manpower and outside repair) to ensure smooth operation with suitable cost level • Ensure and follow the implantation of HSEQ standards (minimize the injury rate – zero injury in 2017)
