Colposcopy Clinic Coordinator in the division of Gynaecology Oncology for Capital District Health Authority. Collaborate with the Director of Gynaecology Oncology regarding Colposcopy Program policy changes, implementation and documentation. Coordinate Colposcopy clinic meetings. Coordination and scheduling and orientation of educational experiences for Gynaecology residents. responsible for scheduling of educational experiences for medical students and cytology students within the Colposcopy Clinic. Development and review of educational material pertaining to patient educational material for sexual health, HPV vaccination, clinic procedures, and treatments. Extensive patient advocacy, education and counselling.

Plan, execute and evaluate learning outcomes of Nova Scotia Community College Curriculum with experienced Licensed Practical Nurses taking the Pharmacology and Medication Administration Program. Promote safe, ethical clinical practice utilizing knowledge of nursing and pharmacology theory, skills and competences of professional nursing practice guided by LPN Provincial Act, the Standards of Care and Code of Ethics, and Capital District Health Authority policies and procedures.

Collaborates with Cardiac Surgeon providing safe and ethical, Perioperative care to patients having Cardiac Surgery. Priority as the Registered Nurse First Assistant in Cardiac Surgical procedures. Performs RN First Assistant duties during surgical procedures. Coordinates with the multi-discipline team to manage cases, equipment, supplies, staff and workload to maximize efficiency and smooth running of the room. Develop Horizon Surgical Management Maps for all Cardiac Surgeons and procedures.

Plan, execute and evaluate learning of Bachelor of Science, Nursing students who provide patient care in clinical hospital settings. Promote safe, ethical clinical practice utilizing knowledge of theory, skills and competences of professional nursing practice guided by Registered Nurses Provincial Act, NS Standards of Care and Code of Ethics, and institution policies and procedures. Coordinate with nursing floor unit Health Services Manager, the health care team for appropriate patient assignments, supervise patient care delivery, and evaluate learning experiences by the students.

Collaborates with the Cardiovascular Surgeon and the health care team providing optimal safe and ethical Pediatric Perioperative care. Priority as the Surgical Assistant for all Cardiovascular procedures. Performs duties of RN First Assistant during the surgery. Pre-operative rounds, pre-operative clinic, assessment of the patient, Perioperative then post-operative ward rounds, Clinic rounds, patient assessment, wound care surveillance and liaise with Cardiologists, Echosonographers and other health care team members. Extensive patient advocacy and family teaching. Present and maintain Cardiac Surgery Database statistics and Quality Assurance Program. Clinical and Basic Research-Research Coordinator Coordinate research projects and recruit patients to clinical trials. Liaise with Cardiac team for management of all patient care and assessments related to study protocol. Accurately collect and maintain data for clinical trials. Maintain budgets and accounts, supply acquisition and payroll. Perform technical procedures and provide support in basic research projects.
