"Smartphone Detection of Cardiovascular Disease using Retinal Features of Fundus Photography" Developed an application and corresponding 3D-printed smartphone case to determine a patient's risk of having a negative cardiovascular event (such as a heart attack or ischemic stroke) within the next 10 years. It allows the user to photograph a patient's retina using an iPhone and calculates the risk of heart disease based on the arteriole-venule (AV) ratio, which has been linked to atherosclerosis.
