Monitoring and controlling the quality of rail corridor asset maintenance services and to coordinate rail corridor maintenance contracts and railway corridor physical infrastructure project design and construction. Identifying, developing and recommending physical infrastructure programs with respect to maintenance and rehabilitation of GO Transit Rail right of way (including fencing, debris, graffiti, and vegetation management) and administering the process for third party initiated work on or adjacent to GO Transit rail corridors including utility and road crossings, grade separations, adjacent developments and train whistle cessation initiatives. Managing the implementation of approved projects through all stages of design and construction. Administering consultant assignments and contracts, performing field maintenance orders, monitoring consulting engineering contracts. Researching and participating in the development of industry maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.
