I am an agricultural meteorologist with PhD in meteorology from the university of Bonn in Germany. I have over 10 years of experience in doing research in meteorology, agrometeorology, and agronomy. PhD Thesis: The effect of climate variability on wheat phenology in Iran. Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Andreas Hense I assessed an effective and potentially scalable statistical downscaling that uses the reanalysis fingerprints of local variability and linear multiple regression. I implemented a weather generator extending to the usual downscaling to provide realizations of the local variability by adding gaussian random noise. I estimated the statistical relationship between changes of weather patterns and wheat phenology by multiple regression analysis considering the uncertainty by the means of bootstrapping and cross validation. Also adjusted a probabilistic phenologic model considering the risk in interpretation the maturity time of wheat. The initiated probabilistic model with the advantage of considering uncertainties has the potential to help reducing the vulnerability of agricultural systems to climate change thereby increasing food security.
