My responsibilities included communicating and assisting customers to ensure their shopping experience was enjoyable. I served at till point and on the fitting rooms, also I spent time replenishing stock and keeping the store tidy. I often worked in a team to handle a delivery and design the store layout. I was given with the responsibility of managing the knitwear section within the ladies wear department, I worked with a small team to ensure the knitwear department was well presented and stocked the products that customers desired. These responsibility allowed me to learn skills such as management, team work, organisation, customer service and more.

My work at Marks and Spencer was a temporary contract for the Christmas period. In this position I was assessed by a mystery shopper whom I received a very positive review from. My responsibilities included communicating and assisting customers, internal and external telephone conversations, serving on fitting rooms, replenishing stock and general tidiness of the store and serving on tills while aiming to sell a specific weekly product. The experience taught me many skills such as communication, team work and more.

During my time at sixth form I undertook at course work based BTEC which involved modules in accounting, law, retail, advertisement, business ethics, health and safety and more. All modules consisted of tasks at different levels, I completed all required tasks to achieve the highest grade possible from the course, a triple distinction star. Activities and Societies: During sixth form, I was a senior member of the eco school team. The role allowed me to teach younger students about the importance of conserving the environment and we worked on creating a garden to help improve the school. I was responsible for a project which involved promoting recycling, I achieved the gain of recycling bags and a regular recycling collection to the school which was not happening before I enforced the project. I am very pleased with the work I done via the Eco school group.

I was also elected by other pupils to become a peer leader which involved supporting a specific group of younger students which any problems and their reading and maths skills.

The award also allows to me to build skills and participate in courses such as first aid. I am also currently studying to take an exam in Microsoft Excel to gain a Microsoft Office Specialist award.
