As Policy Administrator of Executive Healthcare Solutions (Aetna International) in Kenya, my work involves maintaining and updating policies and other documentation for over 100 clients from all over the world every month to make sure that all details on both physical and virtual files are correct as well as answering client queries and ensuring that brokers are fully informed on various policies and how any changes affect their clients. These duties require not only strong multi-tasking capabilities but the ability to think on one’s feet, a thorough knowledge of company products and scrupulous attention to detail. I have also worked in non-administrative roles at New Life Children’s Home, a children’s home for both HIV positive and abandoned children as a physiotherapist for Special Needs children and General Child Carer. I was as a Nurse Aid at the only Gender, Rape and Crisis Centre in East and Central Africa at The Nairobi Women’s Hospital and Eadimay, a Hospice and Old Age Home undertaking a variety of nursing duties in the different areas of the hospital and home.
