• NPI-key interface to EMS factory, direct supplier management. • Act as the owner for the electrical parts of network products. 20 projects averaged pre-year with management of 40+ vendors. • Early involvement in new project design phrase, for key critical components, like PA customized parts, license apply. Drive selection of suppliers and materials from list of recommended with functional team (R&D, TCM), supplier base setup considering category trend &suppliers sourcing strategy. • Second source (90% second source rate before ramping up) and pricing negotiation to insure new NPI material’s on time delivery within budget (5% BOM cost down). Cost benchmark with similar platform/projects or compare with similar product solutions/industry competitors. Purchasing term negotiation including L/T, payment term. • Manage Purchasing capability creation for NPI project, EMS resources, project costs (co-work with internal budget team), quality and risk management, make sure project on time delivery to customer (P&V milestone). • Forecast to supplier, demand to EMS. Hold regularly meeting with EMS factory to review material OTD, price, etc. handle EMS escalation. • From delivery capability point of view, supporting program smoothly go through critical milestone before ramping up. • Liability clearance, import& export issue, finance issues.

• Local Sourcing, parts localization, cost down of PCB, shield freight cost, etc, Cost down including: tooling, freight term optimization. • NPI support, design in UK/US, total cost and lead time reduction, payment term negotiation. Make sure material ready for project pilot run. Including: shortage parts list, RFQ inquire, free sample apply. Weekly meeting to review material status with cross-functional team (R&D, PM). • Supplier base maintenance (including broker, distributor), critical supplier business review, quality review together with SQE team.
