I am a highly skilled Molecular Biologist/Biochemist with 18 years professional experience in pharmaceutical research and development. Throughout my career I have a demonstrated track record of creativity, strong leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of target audiences. I am experienced in assay development using mammalian cell culture, ex-vivo and in-vitro samples, biochemical assays, biomarker identification, clinical and pre-clinical testing, as well as formulation and process development. RESEARCH TECHNIQUES & SKILLS • Extensive experience with multiple tissue culture types (mammalian suspension, adherent and stratified cells, ex-vivo derived cell types, human whole blood) • Detailed knowledge of in-vitro model systems and assay design • Experience in multi-color Flow Cytometry (BD Canto), high throughput imaging (BD Pathway Imager, Amnis Imagestream) and FACS (BD Aria) • Experience in Inflammatory Biomarker Assay design and validation (Multiplex ELISA and RT-PCR arrays) • In-vivo experience including restraint, euthanasia and tissue/organ collection from rodents • Knowledge of Protein characterization techniques (Western blot, ELISA, bacterial expression systems) • Knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques including RNA and DNA isolation, RT-PCR, plasmid construction • Experience in microscopy (confocal, light, fluorescence and polarized light microscopy) • Detailed knowledge of Inflammation and Inflammatory pathways and their role in various disease states • Experience with collection and processing of clinical samples • Formulation and process development for small molecules, peptides and oligoneucleotides • Tech transfer and scale up for clinical manufacturing • Authoring and Reviewing documentation including SOPs, deviations, quality documents, manufacturing instructions and batch records • CRO/CMO coordination • Team leadership experience •Technical writing and effective communication skills
