Office of Security Cooperation- Iraq (OSC-I), a two-star flag officer position within a three-star level Department of Defense (DoD) organization operating in the U.S. Mission-Iraq (USM-I), a Department of State (DoS) led organization. Coordinates across the Joint-staff and the Embassy Staff for the Executive Director to respond to tasks. Assists with the inter-agency management of support activities for the OSC-I’s DoD sites by facilitating senior leader activity and by communicating instructions and information to organizations external to USM-I as well as to internal staffs. Serves as DoD protocol liaison with the U.S. Embassy’s Protocol Office and ensures DoD systems for travelling dignitaries are maintained with CENTCOM. Works with the U.S. Embassy-Iraq’s Protocol officer to synchronize senior government official visits from the U.S. and from other nations, to include the Government of Iraq (GoI).

Interrogator, Enemy Intelligence Collector and Linguistic Support As a military intelligent junior enlisted soldier, I was recognized by the company commander for unique interrogation and language skills and assigned as the team leader of a tactical human intelligence team. Successfully led a three man team through countless combat missions from the Kuwaiti border to the heart of Baghdad. Typical missions of my team included combatant interrogation, counter intelligence collector, enemy surrender appeal and most importantly, gathering time sensitive and relevant information for the commander to plan future operations. Provided cultural awareness training to my fellow soldiers in order to have a better understanding of the culture and how to respect and interact with the local nationals of Iraq.
