I was Responsible for the set-up and operation of large Horizontal Boring mills and new Toshiba cnc Machining Centers. Proficient in G / M code programming, editing to optimize tooling and programs. Performed close tolerance machining and in process inspection. Used troubleshooting skills for a broad range of machining operations and tooling applications; which encompassed a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials including Titanium, Inconel, Alloy Steels, Cast Iron, Steel fabrications and Aluminum. Spent 7yrs. As Shop Foreman overseeing all phases of job shop operations from job planning, scheduling, routing, tooling, purchasing, programming and fixture design.

Completed a 4-year Apprenticeship program in 2yrs, (with honors), which allowed me to spend 1,000 hrs. in each department, including drafting, engineering, fixture design, programming and machining; learning to operate many different types of machines including manual & cnc lathes, manual & cnc vertical & horizontal boring mills and state of the art Machining Centers. I Spent 2 years as 2nd shift foreman in charge of a 6-man crew responsible for production, quality and safety.

I’ am currently operating a new Okuma twin pallet Horizontal Machining Center, machining Tungsten, Molybdenum, Tantalum and other exotic metals for the medical, military defense, and aerospace industries. Also operate a variety of Vertical Fanuc cnc’s. Responsibilities include programming, fixture design, process engineering, tooling applications, in process inspection and quality control issues. Working closely with engineering to move jobs from older vertical equipment to run on the horizontal by changing processes, fixturing, and updating tooling as well as starting new projects.
