Some of my responsibilities at Tait Stage Technologies include: - Tackling all aspects of design including concept generation, numerical analysis and detailed engineering. - Originating ideas for design solutions, based on sound engineering principles and with reference to the company’s prior-art; to meet specific requirements of diverse project based applications. - Carrying out engineering calculations to analyse problems and validate solutions, including: stress and deflection of structures, power and torque of drivetrains, inertia of machinery and mechanisms. - Developing and documenting designs using CAD tools. - Working closely with project managers, colleagues, and external suppliers to ensure the timely and practical fulfillment of client’s requirements and internal demands.

TRIZ Engineering provides contracted mechanical and electrical engineering services to the American truck and bus industry. Liaison Engineer – Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) and Thomas Built Busses (TBB). Both are subsidiaries of Daimler Trucks North America. Some of my duties included: - Working in conjunction with foreign engineers on projects and meeting regularly in conference calls to discuss progress and strategies. - 3D and 2D design of components and subsystems using CAD software (CATIA and Siemens NX). - The majority of my projects were focused on chassis, CNG (compressed natural gas) fuel system design as well as pneumatic layouts. - Building complex and bespoke chassis layouts for customer requirements. - Communicating directly with suppliers and customer relating to project planning, project timelines, budgets and design reviews.
