Edith Bracho-Sanchez, M.D.

Dr. Edith Bracho-Sanchez is a physician who advocates for interventions that improve the public’s understanding of their health and ability to access medical care. She obtained her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and later trained in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Bracho-Sanchez completed a Global Health and Journalism fellowship at Stanford University in partnership with CNN and the International Rescue Committee. At Columbia University, where she currently practices and teaches, Dr. Bracho-Sanchez led the development of a successful pediatric telemedicine program for underserved communities in Washington Heights and the Bronx- which preserved access to medical care for families in need through the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Bracho-Sanchez has advised and appeared in public health campaigns from the CDC, the Department of Health, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Kaiser Family Foundation. She has authored over 60 print articles for CNN and has been quoted by the New York Times, NPR, the Atlantic, Vogue, Parents Magazine, and more. She is a frequent on-air medical expert on Univision, Telemundo, CNN, and Good Morning America. She lives in New York City with her husband and two-year-old son.
