Ed Clancy OBE

I currently work as the Active Lives Commissioner for South Yorkshire, helping increase physical activity, improve health outcomes, and make movement more accessible across communities. I’m also the Strategic Partnership Director at the British Cycling Foundation, where I focus on building partnerships and philanthropic support to fund grassroots cycling and community impact. Alongside this, I’m proud to be a Brand Ambassador for CAMS, supporting cyclists who have been involved in road traffic incidents and promoting safer roads. Earlier in my career, I competed as part of the Great Britain Cycling Team, winning three Olympic gold medals and multiple world titles - an experience that continues to shape how I think about performance, teamwork, and leadership. I now occasionally work in public speaking and performance consultancy, sharing lessons from elite sport around mindset, resilience, leadership, and sustainable high performance.
