I pursued a highly interdisciplinary research combining robotics and developmental biology. I performed robot-assisted microsurgeries to study mechanics behind the body development of model animal zebrafish.

My research focuses on the mechanics of vertebrate body axis development. I developed an autonomously operating robotic microsurgery platform to perform micro-surgeries on zebrafish embryos. This system is removing the tremor of a human operator, provides precision and high throughput in the surgeries. I also developed a system to do optical microelastography based tissue characterization to study the mechanical properties of tissues.
