Responsibility for integrity and development of University’s academic quality assurance framework. Coordinate preparation and auditing of academic documents for quality reviews of the Colleges by the National Authority of Qualifications & Quality Assurance for Education & Training. Coordinate the processes for academic verification of degree programmes in preparation for submission the National Qualification Framework.

Programme Leader for the Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy. Liaise with the University’s Centre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance to ensure college compliance with internal and external quality assurance policies and procedures. Successfully prepared, managed and led the programme team through the College Review by the National Authority of Qualifications & Quality Assurance for Education & Training (Bahrain), gaining a “Confidence” rating for the Physiotherapy degree in 2013. In cooperation with the Dean of the College, develop Annual Operational Plans and Budgets for the College. Responsible for Faculty and administrative staff appraisals, and training needs analysis. Liaised with Alumni, employers and government agencies to maximise opportunities for employment of graduates from the College.

Coordinate and participate in the teaching and assessment of preclinical sciences (Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Neuroanatomy & Physiology) as well as ethics and research methods. Contribute to laboratory teaching of basic clinical skills. Develop curriculum and new courses as part of continuous enhancement of the Bachelor’s degree programme. Supervision of PhD and undergraduate student research in the fields of diabetes, obesity, health-related physical activity and pain management. Member of the University Council, University Strategic Planning Committee, Curriculum Committee, Teaching Learning and Assessment Committee, University Quality Assurance Committee, Ethics committee and Risk Management Committee
