Anne Brock

A distiller with over a decade in the spirits industry, specialising in gin innovation, production, and blending. Holding a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, I combine rigorous scientific expertise with creative flair to unite technical precision and a deep passion for flavour. My career began with building a craft gin distillery in Bermondsey, London, and developing India’s first craft gin recipes - Hapusa and Greater Than. Since 2017, I have served as Master Distiller for Bombay Sapphire, leading world-class gin production while championing sustainability and quality at Laverstoke Mill. Beyond the stills, I serve as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and sit on its Vocational Training and Education committee as the Chartered Institute of Brewing and Distilling partner. I also hold a position on the Board of Directors of The Gin Guild and was the first woman to be the Guild's Grand Rectifier from 2019–2021. In 2018, I was honoured with the 'Outstanding Contribution to Distilling' award at the Craft Distilling Expo. More recently, I was named 'Master Distiller of the Year' in 2021 and inducted into the Gin Hall of Fame in 2022.
