Chief Engineer for Mercedes Benz Mid Size Electric Cars Architecture

Report to the CEO and lead the overall vehicle integration for all Aston Martin current and future car lines including concept and virtual series, vehicle engineering, prototype build, all development workshops, vehicle and durability testing, testing facilities and press garage. Furthermore all of the commodity based vehicle engineering chief areas including electrical (body electrics, harness, switchgear, infotainment hardware and software UI/UX, overall electrical integration), body engineering (structure, closures, BiW and CAE), Interior, exterior and mechanisms (trim, IP, seats, trim development and testing , safety) and chassis including the ADAS systems, springs, dampers, steering, brakes, wheels and vehicle dynamic systems. All direct and indirect purchasing at Aston Martin.

Technical and commercial responsibility for all Mercedes-AMG car lines. Technical: Responsible for vehicle concept, styling feasibility, overall vehicle package, digital and physical mock-up, digital vehicle build,overall vehicle engineering, overall vehicle testing, development sign-off, worldwide factory integration, Quality sign-off. Commercial: Car line specific budget and invest responsible,achievement of car line business case on cost side. Currently leading 4 department heads with around twenty team leads consisting of project engineers, development engineers, workshop staff and testing engineers totalling around a overall team of 300 team members

Overall project responsible for new C-Class car line. Major tasks - setup of initial business case and project KPI‘s, world-wide manufacturing strategy, definition of product content (standard and special equipment), initial overall project timing, goal and KPI breakdown of initial investment and financials for individual business units and development organisations.

Responsible for vehicle concept, styling feasibility, overall vehicle package, digital and physical mock-up, digital vehicle build,overall vehicle engineering. Starting from scratch / clean sheet through to production and whole life cycle. Responsible for large cars and SUV on Mercedes Rear Wheel Drive Platform.

Chief design engineer and office manager of the Stuttgart Office of KDO Design .Responsible für all customer projects, internal budget and personnel. Main focus on door systems and interior trim design for Mercedes Benz Vans and engine/chassis components for Mercedes Benz passenger cars power train.

- Design engineer for interior trim and BiW for various customer projects - Development Engineer on-site with Cosworth Engineering on engine top end design (variable intake system and valve train)
