In January 2022, UNEP FI and PRI have merged the investment memberships to accelerate leadership in sustainable and responsible investment for the benefit of the investment community and the financial system at large. Investors have access to projects and initiatives that are part of the Investment Leadership Programme through the PRI. During my five year tenure at the UNEP FI Investment Committee, we worked with UNEP FI members to generate tools and research, and to promote more transparent and sustainable business and investment practices. My highlight is the ‘TCFD for Investors’-project that brought together 20 of the world’s leading asset managers and owners. Together with technical partners from Carbon Delta (now MSCI) and Vivid Economics we developed scenarios, models, metrics and, ultimately, facilitated the launch of a tool that enables investors to assess climate risks across portfolios. The work conducted during the pilot project was detailed in a final report for the benefit of the investment sector.
