“We should be advocates for our patients who are homeless ... they are people who have an issue, like any other patient.” Dr Edmund Poliness, I am a Tasmanian Doctor with a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). I started my career with 12 years of Veterinary practice as a small animal Veterinarian. I also hold a Fellowship of the faculty of Expedition and Wilderness Medicine, and a Fellowship of the faculty of Travel Medicine, as a member of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine. I have just returned from 12 months in Antarctica. My five year plan is to return to Tasmania and work tirelessly to collaborate for change. I continue to look after the medical students at UTAS with my charity Sportula Microgrants.
