Mark Fulcher

Dr Mark Fulcher is the Managing Director and a Sport and Exercise Physician at Axis Sports Medicine Specialists in New Zealand. Mark combines clinical excellence with leadership and academic curiosity. A former President of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP), he has helped shape the direction of sport and exercise medicine in the region. Known among colleagues as a pragmatic thinker and collaborative clinician, he is also an “accidental researcher,” driven by curiosity and a desire to improve care rather than a traditional academic path. Mark is passionate about technology-enabled care, concussion management, and building interdisciplinary models that keep athletes—and everyday patients—performing at their best. Mark has extensive experience working with elite athletes. He has attended three Olympic Games competitions, has been a member of the FIFA Medical Committee and is the Chair of the Oceania Football Conferderation Medical Committee. He is also the current Medical Director for the One New Zealand Warriors and team doctor for the BNZ Breakers basketball team.
