Dr. (Major) Ankush Sharma

As a clinician turned administrator, my goal is to become a leader and innovator in the healthcare industry and to improve the access and quality of healthcare services for all. With over eight years of experience as a Doctor in the Indian Army, I have developed a keen interest and expertise in hospital and healthcare leadership and innovation by leveraging technology to address the gaps. I have also provided patient care in remote and tertiary care settings, which has equipped me with an adaptive mindset and resilience to excel in a resource-constrained environment. I have also trained and mentored other medical staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge. Moreover, I have demonstrated management and leadership skills, having headed a medical unit for two years in Assam. I led a team of medical professionals, managing the daily operations, budget, and logistics of the unit. I also coordinated with the local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders to ensure outreach and collaboration. I take an interest in reading books, financial literacy, travelling, adventure sports, yoga, and meditation. I am passionate about medicine and healthcare, and I aspire to make a positive difference in this field.
