As a mixture between a biological engineer and a computer enthusiast I work with biological data to computationally predict the molecular mechanisms that give bacteria the power to cope with different stresses and environments. The resulting predictions used to create interpretable network representations for my biologist colleagues. To this end I have been working for the last years on PheNetic, a probabilistic framework, that extracts from large interaction networks small interpretable networks which capture the essence of large scale high-throughput omics results.
