Celina Nadelman

Dr. Celina Nadelman, a board-certified cytopathologist and interventional pathologist, is a renowned specialist in Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), a crucial technique for diagnosing superficial masses that cannot be easily diagnosed through physical exams or imaging studies alone. Dr. Nadelman offers a compassionate yet professional approach to outpatient FNA biopsies, providing patients with a quick, relatively painless, cost-effective solution. What sets Dr. Nadelman apart is her ability to deliver preliminary diagnoses within 24 hours, alleviating patient anxiety. Her commitment to superior techniques includes state-of-the-art, high-resolution ultrasound, ultrasound-guided FNAs, microscopic rapid onsite evaluation (ROSE), and a panoply of ancillary tests. With ROSE, Dr. Nadelman optimizes tissue collection, minimizing inadequate samples. She offers various ancillary studies on biopsy material, including molecular analysis, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and microbiological culture. Dr. Nadelman, alongside her role as an interventional pathologist/FNA expert, also serves as Co-Director of the Pathology course at Charles R. Drew University (CDU) College of Medicine. Having taught at UCLA's Greater Los Angeles Consortium of Cytotechnology since her graduation from UCLA, she continues to educate residents and medical students from CDU at Los Angeles County’s MLK Jr Outpatient Clinic, furthering patient well-being and shaping future doctors.
