Dr. Bernadette, MD, MPH

Created and hosted by Dr. Bernadette Anderson, Life In Harmony focuses on lifestyle medicine; a system of ideas that encourages people to consider their whole self in order to nurture their best personal wellness. Dr. Bernadette advocates that optimal well-being occurs when an individual moves as one unit in mind, body and spirit. She empowers her audience to live their most meaningful and fulfilling life, the life God intended for each of them – a Life In Harmony. A beautiful, sun-filled kitchen is the focal point in each episode. The Life In Harmony kitchen represents “a gathering spot” -- a place where people feel at home to receive important information. As the show host, Dr. Bernadette shines. Her warm, charming personality softens the sometimes, stark academic side of medical talk programs. Sitting at the counter with a hot cup of coffee, she imparts knowledge much like a dear friend. Episodes address an area of health lifestyle such as dietary patterns, nutrition, inactivity, tobacco use, chronic stress, and inadequate sleep. Dr. Bernadette then coaches viewers on how simple changes and choices can reduce the negative impact on their bodies; empowering the viewer to manifest health, and healing in their everyday life, at their pace. To date, four episodes have been produced as proof of concept. Dr. Bernadette is seeking introductions to TV agents, network development executives, and individuals who can provide mentorship and insight into navigating the TV industry.

Dr. Bernadette has over twenty years in the healthcare industry and extensive experience in acute, clinical, and preventive care. She is dedicated to upgrading the health of individuals by empowering them with essential elements to develop and maintain personal wellness. A Saginaw, Michigan native, Dr. Bernadette earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She completed her graduate studies, a Master’s Degree in Public Health, at the University of California, Berkley. Dr. Bernadette received a Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Ohio; continuing her clinical studies at the Mount Carmel Family Medicine Residency Program in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, she is a family medicine physician and co-owner of Faith Family Health in Columbus, Ohio. Faith Family Health is a private family medicine practice that is a part of a larger network of primary care providers called Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC). COPC has full-service laboratory, complete radiology services, cardiac testing, and hospitalist services. We have first-rate health management programs, including two physical therapy centers, an innovative diabetes management program, and an asthma disease management program. We have two SameDay Centers and a Pediatric Support Center that support our practice's urgent care needs seven days a week.

Thinking About Quitting Medicine is co-authored by thirteen doctors who are customizing the way they practice medicine, transitioning to non-clinical careers or leaving medicine entirely.
