Independent researcher, author & historian, published 4 acclaimed books of non-fiction and Indian history till date, with 3 more in the pipeline for 2021.

o As the Director of the Institute, my responsibilities included overall administration, staffing, budgeting, creating a dynamic & contemporary curriculum that is in-line with industry requirements, placements of students, international collaborations, research projects & day-to-day functioning of the institute. o Some of the key milestones during my tenure included: • Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Queensland’s School of Communication for Student & Faculty exchange programme and joint collaboration in research projects & organization of symposia and conferences. • Establishing the first incubation cell in any media and communication institute called SEED . • Establishment a Centre for Performing Arts with courses and diplomas designed for Arts appreciation & workshops for corporates and collaboration with SPICMACAY for regular programmes. • A flagship international conference ‘Communication Quotient’ that drew the best of minds from the field for paper presentations, lectures & panel discussions. • Starting a “Thought Leadership” lecture series to expose students to brilliance from various fields and included speakers such as ‘Bharat Ratna’ Prof. C.N.R. Rao, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Mr. M.J. Akbar, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Mr. Piyush Pandey, Ms. Rohini Nilekani, Mr. Rohan Narayana Murty, Ms. Barkha Dutt, Mr. Shekhar Gupta, Mr. Anupam Kher, Mr. T.M. Krishna, Pt. o The IGNCA is a nodal agency under the Ministry with a focus on research, documentation, archiving, conservation and dissemination across various art forms (written, oral, visual and performing) and explores the interdisciplinary nature of these forms. The Southern Regional Centre intensifies the activities of IGNCA across all the South Indian states. o As the Executive Director of the Centre, my responsibilities included administration, management of the budgets and finances, rolling out academic projects for the Centre, creating awareness and outreach across the country for the projects through Seminars and Conferences, Exhibitions, performances, lecture and symposia, infrastructure development of the campus, staff and human resource management. The role also entailed regular coordination with the Ministry of Culture and its officials on creating an annual action plan, budgetary allocations and monitoring progress, as also collaboration with several academic and cultural bodies in the country. o Some of the key research and documentation projects undertaken during my tenure were: • Temple traditions and festivals at the shrine of Melukote. • Art Experience and the theory of Rasa-Dhwani-Auchitya-Vakrokti. • Documentation of the Jaina tradition of Mahamastakabhishekha in Sravanabelagola (Karnataka). • Documentation of the mural paintings of South India. • Creation of a Digital Music Archives, a digital slide repository of 1 Lakh slides from across the world & a state-of-the-art Reprography Section with over 15,000 microfilms of rare manuscripts from across India.

Analytics for the LES products of HP o My responsibilities including leading a team of 20 members and working closely with the Finance and Marketing groups in the US and EMEA regions on projects related to statistical modeling, pricing, price-sensitivity and program analysis.

Submitted a Dissertation in pursuit of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree to the School of Music and the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Queensland, Brisbane (Australia) and awarded the degree in October 2017. The topic of my dissertation was “The advent of the Gramophone in the Indian sub-continent and its impact on Indian Classical Music”. In the pursuit of this degree from 2013, I was awarded the prestigious International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS), the Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarship and the Prof. D.P. Singhal Visiting Scholarship from the Government of Australia and the University of Queensland, as well as the Gerry Farrell Travelling Scholarship to the United Kingdom for research by the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research (SEMPRE), London.
