The added values I bring to the company I work for are based on my understanding of the world we are in, capturing strengths and weaknesses of organizations, my engineering skills, my project management competencies, my ability to synthesize information for reporting and, even more important, a deep-seated desire to contribute to the growth of the company in tangible manner which is my professional DNA. I am used to organize the department I am in charge of to tackle and to align the company objectives like reaching the yearly budget by avoiding supply disruption, ensuring company growth by supporting the targeted order intake (capture new customers/projects through competitive supplier offers) and taking care of the cash flow with adequate supplier terms and conditions. My duty is also to embed the team in that direction by explaining the reasons for the objectives and how to reach them. My practice and management style for success consists of defining clear and ambitious objectives, empowering people, supporting them, and enabling feedback (in both directions), which is essential for enabling them to take action. Furthermore, Procurement is a pivot in a company since it has to interface, collaborate and serve most of the departments of the organization. So, taking care of the relationship with the stakeholders is essential, especially with R&D. Thanks to my technical background it is quite easy and natural to introduce and make the buyers accepted in the engineering world. Since the beginning of my career 26 years ago, I have always been looking for new challenges in high-demanding environments with the desire to influence the company's results more and more over time.
