Dr. Swati Joshi

Dr. Swati Joshi is a University Innovation Leader with 15+ years in higher education, incubation, and startup ecosystem development. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Charusat Innovative Ventures Foundation (CIVF)—a Section-8 company under CHARUSAT University—she is driving innovation by supporting startups, scaling entrepreneurial ventures, and leading the commercialization of 15+ laboratory services developed at CHARUSAT. A passionate advocate for women entrepreneurs, micro-entrepreneurs, and individuals with disabilities, Dr. Joshi brings a mission-driven approach to ecosystem building and inclusive development. Her leadership journey spans 9+ years in strategic and executive roles, where she is known for her visionary thinking, data-driven decision-making, and tireless commitment to impact. Her entrepreneurial acumen is grounded in firsthand experience. In 2017, she closely worked with her husband on a startup focused on wastewater solutions for industrial ETPs, operational across 31 industries in India. Post-COVID, they successfully pivoted the business to organic fertilizer production—now delivering 25,166 metric tons/month from a plant in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Joshi is also an accomplished academic. She holds a Ph.D. in Green Marketing and an MBA in Marketing, and has published 10 research papers, 2 case studies, and a book in the field. She served as the Founding Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship department at Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, introduced the Master in Event Management & Public Relations (MEMPR) program at Sardar Patel University, and currently supervises Ph.D. research in entrepreneurship at CHARUSAT. An international educator, Dr. Joshi has trained thousands of students for exams like IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, and PTE, and continues to serve as a visiting faculty member at the University in the Sultanate of Oman. Recognized with the “Gargy Puraskar” by the Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Swati Joshi continues to champion innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship through every initiative she leads.
